TRUCKTOWER GmbH takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. Below we explain which data we collect, for what purpose we process it and what rights you have.

2) Data collected when visiting this website

If you use this website purely for information, that is if you do not otherwise send us information, we only collect the data that your browser transmits to the web server (so-called “server log files”). When you call up our website, the following data is collected, which is technically necessary in order to display the website to you:

• the page of our website you visited
• the date and time of access
• the volume of data sent, in bytes
• the source or referrer from which you reached the page
• the browser used
• the operating system used
• the IP address used (anonymised where applicable)

Processing takes place in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website. The data is not passed on or used in any other way. We do, however, reserve the right to check the server log files retrospectively should there be concrete evidence of unlawful use.

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the string “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser bar.

3) Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies and uses no comparable technologies such as tracking pixels or web beacons.

One single entry is stored in your browser's local storage, under the name tt-consent. It holds nothing but your own decision from the “Cookie settings” dialog: whether you allow statistics and external content, plus a version number and the time of the decision. The entry contains no identifier and no usage profile, and it is transmitted neither to our server nor to third parties. Storing this decision is strictly necessary under section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG and does not itself require consent.

You can change your decision at any time, using the link Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you clear the site data in your browser, the entry disappears as well and you will be asked again on your next visit.

Statistics and external content are currently not in use. The setting is there as a precaution: if a map, a third-party video or a reach measurement were added later, it would only load after your consent and would be replaced by a notice until then.

4) Web analytics and tracking

This website uses no web analytics services, no tracking and no advertising networks. No usage profiles are created and no pseudonymised visitor data is transmitted to third parties.

5) Fonts and external content

The Montserrat typeface used here is loaded exclusively from our own server. There is no connection to third-party servers, in particular not to Google Fonts, and no data, not even an IP address, is transmitted to third parties.

Images and videos are also delivered from our own server. No content from external platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo is embedded.

6) Contacting us

The form on the contact page does not transmit any data itself. It assembles your entries into an email inside your browser and opens your email program with it. None of it is sent to our server or to third parties. Whether you send that email is your decision. There is no form submission and no service provider in between.

When you contact us (by email or by phone), personal data is collected. Which data that is depends on what you write to us. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of answering your enquiry, contacting you and the associated technical administration.

The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If your enquiry is aimed at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Your data is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively. This is the case when the circumstances indicate that the matter in question has been finally clarified and provided that no statutory retention obligations apply.

7) Your rights as a data subject

Applicable data protection law grants you the following data subject rights vis-à-vis the controller with regard to the processing of your personal data; for the conditions of exercising them, please refer to the legal basis cited:

Right to object

If we process your personal data on the basis of a balancing of interests due to our overriding legitimate interest, you have the right at any time to object to that processing with effect for the future, on grounds relating to your particular situation.

If you exercise your right to object, we will stop processing the data concerned. We reserve the right to continue processing, however, if we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, fundamental rights and freedoms, or if the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

If we process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing. If you exercise your right to object, we will stop processing the data concerned for direct marketing purposes.

8) How long personal data is stored

How long personal data is stored depends on the respective legal basis, the purpose of processing and, where applicable, the relevant statutory retention period (e.g. retention periods under commercial and tax law).

Where personal data is processed on the basis of express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, the data concerned is stored until you withdraw your consent.

Where statutory retention periods exist for data processed in the context of legal or quasi-legal obligations on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, this data is routinely deleted after the retention periods have expired, provided it is no longer required to perform or initiate a contract and/or we no longer have a legitimate interest in continued storage.

Where personal data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, this data is stored until you exercise your right to object under Art. 21 (1) GDPR, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Unless the other information in this policy on specific processing situations states otherwise, stored personal data is otherwise deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.

9) Competent supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for TRUCKTOWER GmbH is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Lautenschlagerstrasse 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
