Dense parking
is only the beginning.
We are rethinking the node where commercial vehicles park, charge, are serviced and are handed over. What saves space today becomes the place where vehicles are made ready automatically tomorrow.
A start-up with a building as its answer
TRUCKTOWER GmbH was founded in 2023 and is led by CEO Dr. Felix Hackbarth. We are redefining logistics solutions, with one main product that solves a space problem which grows every year.

more truck traffic between 2020 and 2050 estimate by the European Commission
more bus use over the same period estimate by the European Commission
growth in road freight by 2051 German Federal Ministry of Transport

Vehicles on pallets, as in a high-bay warehouse
The TruckTower uses an automated system to stack vehicles on purpose-built pallets, much like a high-bay warehouse. Vehicles are driven onto these pallets and secured automatically. Once the driver has parked, they step out.
A system of lifts and shuttle mechanisms then carries the pallets to their spaces in the vertical storage structure. This creates capacity on existing ground, without sealing any more of it.
A Europe-wide network of smart hubs
We aim to build a Europe-wide network of TruckTower smart hubs: secure parking, micro-logistics and nodes for autonomous transport. The locations are chosen strategically so that they connect to existing transport networks and fit into both urban and long-distance infrastructure.
In the city, a person drives
In urban areas and at the destination the drivers take control, where precise driving is needed.
On the motorway, the truck drives
On motorways and in rural regions the vehicles move autonomously. The riskier and more tiring long stretches run without a driver.
What that achieves
Splitting the journey this way reduces the strain on drivers, minimises the risk of accidents and raises the productivity of logistics operations.
Where we are taking the system
A hub for autonomous transport
In the near future the Tower becomes the central node for autonomous trucks. By integrating advanced technology we enable seamless, efficient and safe transitions between manual and autonomous stretches of a journey. That reduces accidents significantly and improves delivery times.
Sustainable infrastructure for Europe
The Tower plays a key role in creating a sustainable logistics infrastructure aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. With less sealed ground, the use of renewable energy and the promotion of electric charging infrastructure, we set new standards for environmental responsibility in the industry.
A better workplace for drivers
The Tower does not only improve efficiency and safety, it also transforms what it means to be a truck driver. By running the long haul autonomously and letting drivers concentrate on local deliveries, we offer better working conditions and help raise quality of life.
Multimodal logistics hubs
We are becoming a pioneer for multimodal logistics by making the Tower a seamless transition between road, rail and water transport. This enables a flexible, efficient and environmentally sound shift of goods and strengthens the resilience of European logistics infrastructure.
Digital innovation and security
By using digital technologies such as blockchain and AI to improve cargo security and waybill management, we are becoming a pioneer in guaranteeing the highest security standards. Automating critical processes strengthens everyone's trust in the logistics chain.
We follow the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Six points you can measure that against:
-
Less sealed ground
improves water infiltration and supports local ecosystems. -
Better working conditions
through rest areas and amenities for truck drivers. -
Efficient logistics infrastructure
reduces interruptions and makes supply chains more reliable. -
Less urban truck traffic
strategically placed facilities cut trips and improve air quality. -
Lower CO2 emissions
efficient parking systems avoid unnecessary trips and fuel consumption. -
Protecting woodland and green space
less sealed ground protects green spaces and their biodiversity.
