Swap bodies buffer in front of the doors
In front of every loading door there is a queue waiting for its slot. A Stack one vehicle length deep takes them one above the other.
- ×4
- parking spaces on the same area, counted at four levels
- 1.5 min
- retrieval per vehicle on demand
- 0 m²
- newly sealed ground
The buffer lies flat
At parcel centres and transfer hubs it is not the building that decides throughput, it is the space in front of it.
The queue at the door
Swap bodies and trailers wait side by side until a door comes free. Each row takes one vehicle length times width times number.
Our answer Four levels instead of one. The same number of units on a fraction of the area, right in front of the building.
Reshuffling costs runs
Whatever stands at the back has to be pulled forward, and somebody drives it.
Our answer On demand, retrieval takes up to 1.5 minutes per vehicle. Which unit stands at ground level is decided by the call-up, not by the order of arrival.
The yard is paved and full
Expanding means buying land, and next door there is usually another business already.
Our answer Construction is on ground that was paved long ago. No extra land, no new sealed surface.
What the Stack does at a hub
-
More spaces, same area
Four levels instead of one. Your yard holds a multiple without a single square metre being added.
-
One vehicle length deep
The open structure stands against the building wall, at the property line or at the turning loop.
-
Call-up instead of queue order
The unit arrives when it is needed. Whoever calls it up is logged.
-
The load is secure
Access-controlled and enclosed instead of on the hard shoulder or an open lay-by.
-
Retrofittable during operation
The Stack grows column by column. Construction happens at the edge of the working yard.
-
Fully integrated into your operations
The facility fits into the processes you already run. It is built on ground that has long been paved.
Two questions from transfer operations
Do swap bodies without a chassis fit?
A swap body stands on legs, a trailer on its landing gear.
Our answer Both types are planned for, along with roll-off containers and chassis. Dimensions and gross weight decide the level height.
Can this be linked to our door control?
A buffer that does not know when a door comes free is just another car park.
Our answer The facility works by call-up and by schedule. How the handover to your door control looks belongs in the design: ask us about it.
How many units do you buffer today?
Send us the site plan and the number of units in front of the doors. We will assess, without obligation, what fits upwards.
