Frequently asked questions

What operators ask before they go any further. Where we can give a figure, it is here. Where it depends on the site, that is here too.

During day-to-day operation

  • How many vehicles come out in half an hour in the morning?

That depends on the number of handover stations, not on the number of parking spaces. On demand, retrieval takes up to 1.5 minutes per vehicle and station. If the duty roster is fixed in advance, vehicles are pre-sorted and stand ready with no waiting. How many stations your operation needs is something we calculate from your roster.

  • What happens if something breaks down?

The facility has several handling units plus an emergency mode for retrieval. How much redundancy your operation needs belongs in the design: a depot that has to send out its whole fleet in the morning gets a different answer from a trailer buffer.

  • How does a driver get to their vehicle?

Sign in by login or QR code at the handover station. Semi-automatic via dead man control or fully automatic by radar monitoring, depending on the version.

  • Can we keep working during construction?

The Stack is erected at the edge of the working yard and grows column by column. For the Tower it depends on the layout. Which construction phases are possible is settled from the site plan.

About the project

  • What permits does this need?

Tower and Stack differ clearly here. The open structure is simpler in building terms than the enclosed building that holds parking, charging and service. What works at your site belongs in the concept and in a conversation with your authority.

  • How long do planning and construction take?

There is no blanket answer; it depends heavily on the permitting route. The process from the first question to the warranty is set out on the vision page in nine phases.

  • Which vehicles fit inside?

Tractor units, semi-trailer trucks, trailers, swap bodies, roll-off containers, box vehicles, refuse collection vehicles, rigid, articulated and coach buses. The full list is on the home page. Special vehicles are planned in on request; for that we need length, width and gross vehicle weight.

  • Where can we see something like this?

We come from vehicle handling and from high-bay warehouses for steel plants and precast concrete works. Same technology, different load. We will show you our production: arrange a date through the enquiry form or by phone.

Cost and funding

There are deliberately no figures here. There is no range that fits every site, and an invented one would be no use to you.

  • What does a parking space cost?

That depends on the design, the number of levels, the vehicle size, the ground conditions and how much charging and service equipment goes in. We will give a range as soon as we know your area and your fleet. Until then any figure would be a guess.

  • Which funding programmes might apply?

That depends on the state, the use and the timing, and the programmes change. Tell us your location and your plan and we will say what we know, and where you are better off asking the funding body directly.

  • Is it worth it compared with a second site?

The calculation has more items than rent against investment: transfer runs, driving time, staff and the time shunting costs you today. How to set it out is on the page Haulage yard.

  • What does the concept cost?

Nothing. The site assessment and the concept proposal are free and without obligation.
